This year marks the 10th year of Wines2Whales. At the end of October, 4,500 athletes will push their physical limits to complete a challenging 200km course. The race expands over tough terrain from Somerset West, through the Elgin Valley, before finally ending in Hermanus three days later.
We are very excited to be working closely with Stor-Age and Wines2Whales, assisting them with the various sponsorship elements that will help make this year’s race a wonderful success.
As one of South Africa’s fastest growing sports, mountain biking has for some time attracted the interest of large national companies. There is much value in being associated with races of this standard, as they offer an excellent opportunity to engage with both riders and their supporters.
The sponsorship details
Firstly, riders will have complete peace of mind during both overnight stops of the race in Elgin with the Stor-Age Bike Hotel. The Stor-Age Bike Hotel at Oak Valley is the perfect storage solution for riders who wish to relax and recover before the next day of racing, knowing that their bikes are safe and secure.
Riders can drop off their bikes at the Stor-Age Bike Hotel after day one and day two stages, where they can safely store their most beloved possession and have it prepared to be collected the next morning.
An additional Stor-Age Bike Hotel will be set up at the finish of the race, alongside The Marine Hotel in Hermanus.
Pre- and post-event bike wrapping
Not only are Stor-Age keeping rider’s bikes safe during the race, but they are also offering a complimentary bike boxing service before (Gauteng only) and after the race. Read more about this here.
PR Lab wishes all Wines2Whales riders all the very best for the race!
